NORTH DAKOTA SCHOOL BUSINESS MANAGERS CERTIFICATION PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Approved in 2013 by the North Dakota School Boards Association (NDSBA) Delegate Assembly and by the North Dakota Association of School Business Managers (NDASBM) Board of Directors, this program is administered by NDSBA in partnership with NDASBM. A curriculum committee oversees program planning. Instructors are selected by the the Curriculum Committee and are practitioners and/or experts in the fields of school business management, legal services, school administration, financial management, and other fields. The program is funded through a grant appropriated by the North Dakota Legislature and by tuition paid by participating school districts.

Available Trainings: New Student Training (1st Year Courses Only) and Fall Training (1st Year and 2nd Year Courses)
NDSBMCP will kick off a new certification program year with New Student Training for First Year students only on October 5 & 6, 2023 at the Bismarck Career Academy. Courses include Business Manager Roles and Responsibilities, Federal Funding & Reporting Systems, Introduction to School Finance, Introduction to School Operations, and State Funding and Reporting Systems.
Fall Training for First Year and Second Year students will take place on November 8, 2023 at the Bismarck Career Academy. Courses include Human Resources I and Open Records and Meetings for First Year students, and Ancillary Services Management and Asset Management, Investing, and Bonding for Second Year students.
