Dear Superintendents & Business Managers,<\/span><\/p>\n

As you are likely aware, the Governor rescinded his Executive Order which had lifted the Ending Fund balance restrictions for this year.\u00a0 What does that mean for you?\u00a0 That means that the Ending Fund Balance law is still active for this year meaning that we have a deadline of June 30th<\/sup> to get into compliance.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you are looking at having possible overages in your general fund due to COVID and may struggle with this law, we have worked out all your options and are having a call with all those district superintendents and business managers to provide guidance.\u00a0 This meeting needs to take place ASAP and is scheduled for Monday morning (June 8th<\/sup> at 8am). I will subsequently be sending out an invite with your zoom invitation to this call.<\/span><\/p>\n

Please know we are working in collaboration with legislative leadership, NDSOS, and NDSBA through this process so we are all working lockstep and with transparency.\u00a0 We are doing all we can to help.<\/span><\/p>\n
